World celebrates 100th mammoth structure

It started in Manhattan, 1930: the Chrysler Building, nudging over 300 meters, became the world's first supertall skyscraper. A new benchmark for aerial architecture had been set, and over the course of the next 80 years, 49 more were added to the list.
